Pura Vida! Pelicans in Paradise is inspired by a photograph I took while visiting Costa Rica. The smelts and sardines were running heavily in the surf. While the pelicans snacked on these bait fish, the fisherman fished for the bigger fish. With a volcano active in the foreground.
